Hotel leaders should act now to comply with the United Nations World Tourism Organization to manage and mitigate the adverse effects of this outbreak. Home2nite believes that hotels can:

  • minimize the social distance between hotel staff and the guests,
  • enable guests so that they open their rooms with their mobile phones (contactless entry),
  • receive and manage the timings for Alacarte reservations and manage the distance of the tables,
  • enable digital communication between the hotel guests and hotelier (reception, guest relations, concierge) to minimize unnecessary interactions,
  • monitoring online hotel staff’s compliance with checklists,
  • creation of isolation of possible infections in the room but still communicating,
  • able to send simultaneous notifications to all hotel guests instantly to inform them,

all these mitigations can be done via digitalization and with ONLY digitalization. The hotels that do not prepare for the post-corona period will be late to take these actions. For those who want to take pro-active action, Home2nite will be fully supporting them.
